CPSports Mini-Camps and Summer Program

Our philosophy is simple: kids want to have FUN, being outside is FUN, sports and games are FUN! The Central Park Sports Summer Program provides outdoor athletic activity and instruction in a non-competitive, FUN environment to children ages 3-12. Campers receive basic instruction from local coaches and college athletes in a variety of sports (soccer, baseball, basketball, volleyball, lacrosse, football etc.) as well as supervision in classic park games such as frisbee, capture the flag and more. Emphasis is on having FUN and demonstrating good sportsmanship while learning the basic skills and rules of the games.

For Summer 2021 we will be closely monitoring the New York guidelines for operating during the pandemic. Based on 2020, we will likely operate as follows:

· We are forming groups (cohorts) of 6-12 kids at a time. We prefer for them to be related or from a trusted friend group. Siblings can be split into 2 different cohorts if the age gap is too great. These cohorts will stay together for the week or even longer.

· If you do not come to us with a cohort, we can create one from kids in the same age range and, hopefully, neighborhood.

· Cohorts of 3-5 may be possible but the price will likely be higher.

· The cohorts will meet coaches at different areas around the Park. We will try to be consistent with the areas, but drop off may vary a bit throughout the week.

· We may have options in other parks/play areas (Riverside Park, certain playgrounds/courts) that are convenient to your cohort.
